I Am The BearMaiden and I Love What I Do.
I am a Design Generalist. I am a Creative. A multi-disciplined graphic designer with a penchant for bold color. I am the Queen of making it do what it do, even if there is a limited budget to do it with. I can write. I can draw a little. I am an accomplished photographer. And if I can’t do something, I know someone who can.

In a digital world, the power of a moving hand and analog tools still ring as necessary. I use technology to make paper and ink sing harmonically.
A second-generation artist, Jesi grew up in Paris, France, Kingston, Jamaica, and Harlem, USA.
On her 13th birthday, she was given a camera; an inexpensive Meikai with no controls other than “daylight” and “flash.” And while she has been making pictures ever since she followed the money into a corporate life, working as a designer on the side.
But the life-altering events of 9/11/01 convinced the BearMaiden to actively live the artist life. She was accepted at Pratt Institute where she pursued a degree in graphic design and illustration.
I design and produce brochures, newsletters, posters, banners, newspaper and magazine ads for print. I create identity systems and style guides for new businesses and re-imagine and implement branding for established ones. I produce T-shirt illustrations and prepare for production. I design retail interiors, including all in-store advertising and signage. I write business and promotional campaigns and ad copy. I photograph events and weddings, and provide retouching services.
Designed and produced medical forms for several departments in the institution. Additionally, produced and prepared brochures, posters, journal advertisements and other collateral used to promote physicians, medical practices and hospital events while adhering to pre-established style guides. Maintained weekly newsletter; duties include photographing hospital personnel and events, selecting and retouching photography, preparing files for print and online publication.

“Jesi designed a postcard for my exhibition entitled, MANAHATTA TODAY: INDIGENOUS ART OF N.Y.C. She also created online flyers and hard copy posters for this show. She is a very generous spirited young woman! ”NADEMA A. Artist, Curator, Red Earth Studio NYC
“Jesi designed a poster and personal stationery for me. The poster was beautiful, but it also fit the very specific specs of the academic conference where I was showing it, because of Kelley's on point research. She was a pleasure to work with and I look forward to future opportunities to work with her.”PK J Researcher, Post-Doctorate Fellow
“Jesi is an amazing photographer. She captures the essence of the moment and person. Auburn has repeatedly contracted her to photograph our events.... her turn- around on the work is quick and used in numerous ways by our organization. We would highly recommend her to anyone who needs a great event photographer."Jeannie Lee Manager of Facilities and Hospitality
